THE ROYAL ELK PROCESS
After several years of careful planning including fact-finding missions to the United States and Asia, the processing plant was brought into production in 1994 with a second plant in 1999.
The plants and the process are absolutely state-of-the-art and are based
on years of careful research. The new processing plant offers freeze
drying which has been scientifically proven to retain the highest nutritional
value. The antler is then scraped and singed to remove the fine velvet covering. The antler
is then ground, mixed and encapsulated.
Our quality, efficiency and reliability of our plant has interested other companies and research institutions wishing to encapsulate a variety of herbal formulations for commercial or scientific use.
Visitors are impressed with the dedication to quality and attention to
hygiene.
The plant is inspected by Health Canada and Provincial Health and is subject to surprise inspections.
Royal Elk Products has also achieved a 'A' compliance rating and is awarded NNFA GMP Certification (National Nutritional Food Association Good Manufacturing Practices). The GMP seal is a symbol certifying that NNFA's GMP standards, which are designed to assure dietary supplement products integrity and quality, have been achieved at our factories.
You can always count on being able to consult with Don over the phone and visitors are always welcome to a tour of our facilities.
